Typography was the technique that introduced me to Graphic Design as a teenager. I studied it for a long time before I tried my hand at it. I watched many videos and practiced hand lettering regularly. It was because of this that I decided I wanted to have a career in Graphic Design. Shown in this spread are some typographic lockups I have created in Procreate. What I love about typography is the story it can tell with just words. The hierarchy itself is just an emphasis on important words, and to me that feels powerful. Words can be art too, especially when the type is hand drawn! I was inspired by artists like Lauren Hom when I made these pieces. I hope to continue my studies in this area and become as great as a typographer as she is in the future.
